Following the launch of her new brand, including a new website and Instagram account, Meghan sent jars of strawberry jam – the first product from her brand – to 50 friends and influencers to taste test. The 42-year-old also appeared to hint at the exclusivity of the jam as she is looked to have have handwritten each number on the jars from one to 50.
According to royal expert and author Tom Quinn, Meghan has reached a point where she feels that everything she does will be “unfairly criticised” – especially after the criticism she received from the jam.
Speaking to the Mirror, Mr Quinn said: “Like her husband, she feels that people are unfairly picking on her – she cannot understand why people don’t admire her work.”
He also said that she isn’t prepared for any further criticism, adding: “She is extremely sensitive about any criticism of her luxiourous lifestyle in the US – from her point of view this is something to be admired not criticised.”
Also according to the publication, Meghan is currently planning a PR blitz in the run-up to American Riviera Orchard actual official launch later this year.
She is hoping it will attract some new followers and ideally, lead to a string of appearances on chat shows and podcasts. Meghan may even be available to give interviews to “specially selected” journalists.
In an attempt to “drive online sales”, Meghan is said to be desperate to improve her image in the US and the UK.
Meghan stepped down as a senior working royal at the start of 2020 – less than two years after becoming one after marrying Prince Harry.
The couple now reside in the US with their two children – Archie, five, and Lilibet, who will celebrate her third birthday at the start of June.
