NEW YORK CITY (TND) — Former President Donald Trump’s nephew on Tuesday endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris’s bid for the White House.
Fred Trump III said during an appearance on “The View” that he supports Harris’s policies.
“I believe in policy over politics and without question, Kamala Harris’s policies are what I get behind, so I will be voting for Kamala Harris,” he explained. “And if I’m asked, I will campaign for her without hesitation.”
Fred Trump also called his uncle “atomic crazy.”
Every family has their crazy uncle at the Thanksgiving table. Donald is atomic crazy,” he said. “And I’ve seen it firsthand how he’s evolved from crazy to atomic crazy.”
Fred Trump is one of the few family members that have publicly criticized former President Trump. In November, the Republican candidate’s niece argued his trial for falsifying business records showed he was an unsuccessful businessman.
In this case, what’s happening is that he is being forced to confront the possibility that he is not going to be able to get away anymore with pretending that he’s a successful businessman,” Mary Trump said in an MSNBC interview.
She suggested that the trial was more revelatory than reports by the New York Times that former President Trump inherited more than $400 million from his father, an amount accumulated partly through tax avoidance.
