The Young and Restless star dead at 66 years of age

For her portrayal of Tina, the actress received a Daytime Emmy nomination.

The world was in mourning as Andrea Evans, one of the biggest stars of daytime television, passed away at age 66.

Her longtime manager, Don Carroll, disclosed that the renowned actress passed away on Sunday due to cancer. Nick Leicht, her manager at the time, expressed his sorrow over her passing.

I’ve been collaborating with Andrea for the past seven years. He remarked of her, “She was such a tremendous talent and an absolute joy to work with.”

One Life to Live’s Tina Lord, a troubled adolescent, and The Young and the Restless’ Patty Williams are two of Andrea’s most well-known daytime roles.

She was nominated for a Daytime Emmy in 1988 for Outstanding Ingenue in a Drama Series for her portrayal of Tina.

The late personality was honored on Twitter by Frank Valentini, the current and previous executive producers of General Hospital and One Life to Live, respectively.

The news of Andrea Evans’ passing, he remarked, “deeply saddens me.” “Andrea was already a big star when I started at OLTL,” he continued.

She furthermore had appearances in the motion pictures and television programs Hit List, Ice Cream Man, and A Low Down Dirty Shame. Andrea left One Life to Live in the 1990s to take a break from acting, and she went forgotten for a long time.

She revealed to the publication in 2008 that a traumatic encounter with a stalker motivated her to withdraw from the spotlight. She admitted, “It’s changed me forever.” No way could it not, I said.

On One Life to Live that same year, the well-liked actress returned to the role of Tina.

Her reappearance was eagerly awaited; Executive Producer Valentini told TV Guide in 2008 that fans had been anticipating her arrival for a long time.

Even though Andrea hasn’t appeared on OLTL since 1990, he claimed that she is still one of the most often requested characters to do so.

She was married to Stephen Rodriguez in 1998, and they had a daughter named Kylie. She wed Wayne Massey, a co-star on One Life to Live, between 1981 and 1983.
