Rita Ora has been confirmed as the host of the 2024 MTV European Music Awards, and she will reportedly honour beloved late pal and One Direction star Liam Payne, following the sibnger’s tragic death aged 31 this month.
The British singer, 33, will be presenting the epic annual award ceremony for the third time and admitted to be ‘over the moon’ with the job.
This year’s EMAs have been hotly anticipated anticipated after they were cancelled last year due to ‘safety concerns’ – and will take place in Manchester.
The city’s Co-op Live Arena will be home to some of the biggest names in the music industry – with Rita being the award’s first three-time host.
The acclaimed songwriter – who was born in Kosovo – couldn’t contain her excitement and said thrilled: ‘I’m over the moon that I get to be back with my MTV family hosting the EMAs for the third time!
‘The EMAs stage has become like another home for me, and this year’s show in Manchester is going to be absolutely incredible!

The acclaimed songwriter was praised for her ‘infectious energy’ by Paramount bosses.

The 2024 MTV EMAs will broadcast live at 9pm GMT Sunday 10th November on MTV UK, Channel 5 and Pluto TV across the globe and will be available on demand on Paramount+ from 12th November.
