Barron, the tall Trump who overshadowed his father on election night, has the internet community talking.
People are in awe of the youngest Trump family member, who has undergone a radical change in the last four years, going from a teenager at the age of 14 to an 18-year-old Trump tower.
Only Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president, who stood at 6′ 4″, and Lyndon B. Johnson, the 36th president, who stood at 6′ 3.5, are taller than Donald Trump (6′ 3).
The fact that Trump’s children are so tall, with infant Barron surpassing the entire family in height, is not surprising given his enormous stature.
Born on March 20, 2006, Barron is Trump’s only child with Melania. He is the youngest brother by a significant amount of time to Donald Jr. (46), Ivanka (42), Eric (40), and Tiffany (30), who is the smallest member of the family at 5′ 8″. Barron was just fifteen years old in 2021, and he was taller than both his mother, who is five feet eleven, and his father.
“Barron is 6-foot-7, can you believe it? And he’s 15,” Trump then said. “Eric is short—he’s only 6-foot-6,” he joked of Eric, who was outgrown by his baby brother.
Years later, when his youngest son began his freshman year at New York University in 2024, the devoted father was overcome with pride.
“He’s a very high aptitude child, but he’s no longer a child. He’s just passed into something beyond child-dom. He’s doing great,” Trump told the Daily Mail. “He was accepted to a lot of colleges… He’s a very smart guy, and he’ll be going to Stern, the business school, which is a great school at NYU.”
Steals the spotlight
Barron stood on stage with his family at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida on November 6, the day after he cast his first ballot in support of his father, and watched Trump take in the cheers following his triumph over the Democrats.
Images of the now-adult Barron, whose head was higher than his parents’, were startling because the camera-shy Barron was not frequently spotted with his father’s side while he rallied across the nation.
Joking about his son’s height, Trump credits his wife’s mother, Amalija Knavs, who died in January 2024: “They’re great people, great parents to all of us really. Great parents, but also to Barron. Boy did she take care of Barron,” Trump said on election night. “That’s how he got so tall—he only ate her food.”
To say “so tall” would be an understatement. According to calculations, the young man is roughly 6-foot-9 after going through a significant growth spurt since his last photo.
One shocked netizen tweets, “Barron is now so tall that the pictures of him look photoshopped,” while a second writes, “One way that it is definitely not 2016 all over again is that Barron Trump is like 7 feet tall now.”
“Barron Trump may very well be just three normal height humans stacked on top of one another,” a third person shares.
Meanwhile, others suggest he turn his focus away from business to basketball. “[Six-foot-nine] Barron Trump, son of Donald Trump, may just get a call from the Washington Wizards one of these days,” shares one, referring to a draft by the NBA team.
“God d*** Barron Trump is like 7 feet tall; that boy gotta get off the stage and start HOOPING,” offers another.
Trump doesn’t disagree with his son’s basketball narrative.
Speaking with the media on November 6, Trump shared a conversation he had with Barron: “I said ‘you’re gonna be a basketball player.’ He said, Well, ‘I like soccer, dad, actually.’”
“I thought… at your height… I like basketball better, but you can’t talk them into everything.”
