When Louis Bardo Bullock, Sandra Bullock’s son, was born in 2010, his arrival completely changed her life. Since the Academy Award-winning actress took him in as a baby, he has grown up a lot.
Sandra claimed that five years prior to her 2010 divorce from ex-husband Jesse James, Hurricane Katrina prompted her to think about adoption.
The actor from Blind Side “did wonder [to herself], “Maybe not,” but she ultimately made the decision to adopt after “Katrina happened in New Orleans,” according to Parenting. “It told me, ‘My child is there,’” Sandra said in an interview with the newspaper in June 2018. It was strange.
After adopting Louis, Sandra Bullock adopted Laila Bullock as her second child in 2015. She started dating photographer Bryan Randall of Los Angeles later that year, and the two have since raised the celebrity’s beautiful family.
In an exclusive statement released in May 2021, an insider claimed that “they have actually become one giant, loving family.
Sandra said that her son has a little different perspective than her daughter, who is “unafraid” and “going to do” amazing things in life. The Golden Globe winner clarified in May 2018 why Louis is referred to as her “78-year-old son.”
She said Lou is really sensitive. “He reminds me of Shecky Greene, the Jewish comedian from Catskills.” He is thoughtful and clever. I could see it as they handed him over to me. He exuded spiritual grandeur. I prayed that I wouldn’t make a mistake.
Sandra acknowledged that she occasionally wishes her kids had her skin tone in an open conversation with Adrienne Banfield-Norris, Willow Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Sandra on Red Table Talk in November 2021.
