Since its debut in 2011, The Voice has remained a staple in the world of music competition shows, and now, it’s gearing up for its 27th season on Monday, February 3. Michael Bublé is back and looking to secure his second win, following a record-breaking debut season where he became the first coach to have both of the top two finalists. He’s the only returning coach from Season 26, joining long-time Voice veterans Adam Levine and John Legend. Meanwhile, country-pop star Kelsea Ballerini steps into the coaching role for the first time. But not all fans are completely on board with the new lineup.
Fans React to Snoop Dogg and Reba McEntire’s Departures
With 26 seasons under its belt, The Voice has seen its fair share of changes, from fresh contestants to rotating coaches. Naturally, viewers form attachments to their favorite mentors, and some have been vocal about their disappointment over the absence of Snoop Dogg and Reba McEntire this season.
“I’ll start watching again when Snoop and Reba come back,” one fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Another added, “Bring back Gwen, Snoop, and Reba!”
For those hoping for Snoop’s return, it seems unlikely. In an interview with OK! Magazine, the rap icon made it clear that his time on The Voice was always meant to be short-lived.
“I had a great time on The Voice,” Snoop admitted. “I ain’t gonna front, but when I signed the contract, I knew it was a one-year deal, and that was it for me.”
The West Coast legend has a packed 2025 ahead, including hosting the NFL Honors on Sunday, February 9, and starring in The Last Man, an upcoming feature film directed by Luc Besson, which he is also executive producing.
Adam Levine Makes His Big Return
Despite the disappointment over some departures, The Voice fans have plenty to be excited about—especially with Adam Levine returning after a six-year break. A familiar face since the show’s very first season, Levine’s comeback is already generating buzz.
“Can’t wait to see Adam back in that chair,” one fan posted on X.
