Meghan Markle has given a new update on her health following the reveal of a devastating diagnosis.

The Duchess of Sussex opened up about her “life-or-death” health struggles in the debut episode of her latest podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder.

This isn’t Markle’s first venture into podcasting—her earlier show Archetypes had a 12-episode run on Spotify before it was eventually canceled.

Recently, Markle also made headlines by announcing a “professional separation” from her husband, Prince Harry.

While the two continue to collaborate under The Archewell Foundation, they are now each pursuing their own individual projects.

Meghan Markle has announcd her sad health update.

Most recently, the 43-year-old gave her lifestyle brand a fresh new identity—what was once known as ‘American Riviera Orchard’ has now been relaunched as ‘As Ever’.

The updated line debuted with nine items, including teas, fruit preserves, honey, crepe mix, and floral sprinkles—all of which sold out within an hour.

Markle has also been making waves with her Netflix series With Love, Meghan.

While the show has stirred up some criticism online, Netflix has confirmed that a second season is already in the works.

In the premiere episode of Confessions of a Female Founder, listeners can tune in to a conversation between the Duchess and Whitney Wolfe Herd, the founder of the dating app Bumble.

The two open up about their journeys as female entrepreneurs and discuss the challenges of juggling motherhood and career.

Meghan Markle spoke about her blance between work and motherhood.Meghan Markle, mother to Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, recently shared that her three-year-old daughter still naps during the day and currently attends preschool only for half days.

The Duchess opened up about balancing motherhood with work, saying: “She’ll [Lilibet] be sitting there on my lap during one of these meetings with a grid of all the executives… I wouldn’t have it any other way. I don’t want to miss those moments. I don’t want to miss pickup if I don’t have to. I don’t want to miss drop-off.”

She also expressed her deep appreciation for both parenting and entrepreneurship, emphasizing that she sees “both as equally important” and believes they hold “really high value for the world.”

Meghan Markle shared the serverity of her condition.

In one segment of the episode, Markle and Herd opened up about their shared health journeys, with the Duchess noting: “We both had very similar experiences — though we didn’t know each other at the time.”

Markle reflected on the challenge of dealing with a serious health diagnosis while constantly in the public eye: “The world doesn’t know what’s happening quietly. And in the quiet, you’re still trying to show up for people – mostly for your children — but those things are huge medical scares.”

Both Markle, 43, and Herd revealed they had suffered from postpartum preeclampsia — a rare and potentially dangerous condition that arises shortly after childbirth, marked by high blood pressure and elevated protein levels in the urine. Herd described the condition as “life or death.”

According to the Mayo Clinic, postpartum preeclampsia requires immediate medical attention, as it can lead to seizures and other serious complications if left untreated.

Meghan Markle appeared with Archie just two days after giving birth.

Herd recalled seeing Meghan Markle’s first public appearance with her newborn son just two days after giving birth: “I’ll never forget the image of you after you delivered Archie, and the whole world was waiting for his debut.

“I was either just becoming or about to become a new mom, and I was like, ‘Oh my God, how is this woman doing this?

“How is this woman putting on heels and going and debuting a child in this, you know, beautiful outfit in front of the entire world?’ I could barely face a doorbell delivery for takeout food in a robe.”
