Anyone who has magnificent or even weird patterns inked on them understands how easy it is to become addicted to fresh tattoos.
Once you’ve taken the plunge on one, the second, third, and possibly even fourth may come shortly thereafter.
Melissa Sloan, 46, is well-known for having tattoos all over her body.
In fact, the mother of two has 800 tattoos, making her believe she is the ‘world’s most tattooed person’.
You’re undoubtedly wondering how often Melissa gets a tattoo, given how many she has.
Well, the mother receives a startling three per week.
However, while Melissa enjoys tattoos, her look has had an impact on every aspect of her life, from being barred from entering her neighborhood pub to finding employment.
Melissa told the Daily Star, “I can’t get a job.” I applied for a job cleaning toilets near where I live, but they refused to hire me because of my tattoos.
“People say I’ve never had a job in my life, but I did have one once, and it wasn’t for long.
“If someone offered me a job tomorrow, I would go and work – I would take that offer.”
Melissa’s tattoos have also had an influence on her children’s lives, as the mother claims she was forced to watch her children’s nativity performance via the window last year because she was not permitted to enter the school.
“No Christmas parties, and when I go to my child’s school, I’m not invited,” she told the Mirror.
Melissa has also been barred from her neighborhood pub due of her appearance.
Nonetheless, Melissa claims there’s ‘nothing she can do about it’ now, and she intends to continue getting tattoos until she’s 70 if possible.
“Every bit of skin will be covered even if I’m turning blue, my face is already turning blue — I look like a Smurf,” according to The Mirror.
Melissa may have a problem obtaining more tattoos, however, because she has been barred from visiting several tattoo parlors.
Melissa’s entire skull is covered with tattoos, but one layer wasn’t enough for the tattoo enthusiast.
It got to the point that she began inking over her previous designs, eventually covering her entire face twice.
Melissa has even added a third layer in recent years, proving she is the Guinness World Record holder for the world’s most tattooed individual.
She stated, “I’m attempting to get into the Guinness Book of Records.
“I’ve got three layers on my face, I probably have the most tattoos in the world, and if not then at the rate I’m going on I probably will have in the end – I keep going over and over them.”
