A motorcyclist has gone viral after getting pulled over for riding in the middle lane of a motorway — and let’s just say the police weren’t impressed.
Footage from the roadside (because of course someone filmed it) shows the rider cruising along in the middle lane like it’s a casual Sunday stroll, completely ignoring the empty left lane — also known as the one you’re actually supposed to be in unless you’re overtaking.
Enter the police, who wasted no time in pulling the rider over. The officer walks up, looks at the bike, then says the four words that have social media crying: “Y’all never learn, do you?”
And just like that, out comes the ticket.
Middle Lane Madness
For anyone still confused: the middle lane isn’t your personal highway throne. UK highway rules are crystal clear — unless you’re overtaking, keep left. Hanging out in the middle lane for no reason is not only inconsiderate, it’s illegal under careless driving laws. And yes, it can land you with a fine and penalty points.
Social media had a field day with the clip:
“Middle lane warriors are the final boss of bad drivers,” one user commented.
“That ‘Y’all never learn’ was personal,” another added.
Some users even called for harsher penalties, while others said they see this every single day on the roads.
A Lesson Learned?
It’s unclear whether the biker took the advice to heart, but hopefully, the sting of a fine and a few viral memes will do the trick.
Let this be your daily reminder, folks: keep left, overtake right, and don’t be that guy.
