According to China Press, Lee Kah Chin, a badminton enthusiast, was in the middle of a rally when he fell to the ground and became unresponsive.

A video circulating on social media shows his teammates rushing to help, performing CPR in turns and using an automated external defibrillator (AED).

He was rushed to the hospital, but doctors later confirmed his death.

Lee, who worked as a salesman, leaves behind a pregnant wife and two young children, aged 1 and 3

The New Straits Times reported that the news has left many mourning for his young family, especially his wife, who will now welcome their third child without him.

Friends described Lee as a devoted husband and father who was excited about moving into the new home the couple had recently purchased.

“He had been active in sports for decades and was in good health. Before the game, he didn’t say anything about feeling unwell. He just returned a shot and suddenly collapsed,” said one of his close friends.

Meanwhile, witnesses said the atmosphere at the hospital that night was heavy with grief

More than 20 of Lee’s badminton friends gathered outside the emergency department, hoping for a miracle. When his passing was confirmed, many broke down in tears.

Lee’s body was released to his family after a post-mortem and will be laid to rest at Tokong Chen Kong Toh Tong in Seremban.
