Andrea Bocelli sings Elvis Presleys Cant Help Falling in Love at his breathtaking Teatro del Silenzio under the Tuscan sky

Andrea Bocelli delivered a breathtaking performance of Elvis Presley’s iconic Can’t Help Falling in Love during his annual Teatro del Silenzio concert, a highlight that has captivated fans worldwide. Footage from the unforgettable event can be viewed online, showcasing the magic of this timeless classic.

Each year, Bocelli returns to his hometown of Lajatico, nestled in the picturesque Tuscan countryside, to perform at the Teatro del Silenzio (Theatre of Silence), an open-air amphitheater he was instrumental in creating back in 2006. The venue, which remains silent for most of the year, comes alive every July for Bocelli’s highly anticipated concert.

This year’s highlights, shared on Bocelli’s official Instagram page, included a stunning duet of Can’t Help Falling in Love with Italian singer Emma Marrone. Originally recorded by Elvis Presley for his 1961 film Blue Hawaii, the song has since become one of The King’s most beloved and enduring hits, frequently featured in his live performances.

Reflecting on Elvis’ legacy, Bocelli previously shared with Express.co.uk: “There is no denying that Elvis had a great talent. He possessed a pliant voice with extensive range and a soft and enveloping timbre. Plus, he was an extremely charismatic person.”

When asked why he chose to cover Can’t Help Falling in Love and another Elvis ballad, Love Me Tender, Bocelli explained his admiration for The King’s ability to convey deep emotion through music, making these timeless classics a perfect addition to his repertoire.

Bocelli’s interpretation of Presley’s work, paired with his signature tenor voice, brought new life to these iconic songs, leaving audiences in awe and ensuring this year’s Teatro del Silenzio concert remains a cherished memory for all who experienced it.
