Blonde icon Pamela Anderson left the beautiful shores of Malibu several years ago for a quieter life.
The Baywatch star found her new home on a remote island in Canada where she grew up.
And the 57-year-old bombshell told on Tuesday why she left the glamour of California.
‘I guess a homecoming, you could say, to really kind of look at my life and remember who I was – not what other people were telling me I was,’ the Stacked star shared.
‘And I didn’t want anything that had happened to me define me,’ added the Playboy cover girl.’
‘I wanted what I do to define me… all these realizations came to me in the rose garden.’
She grew up in a small shack in Ladysmith, a picturesque West Coast town with a charming waterfront.
Pamela attended Highland Secondary School in Comox, British Columbia, where she played volleyball. She graduated in 1985.
The siren moved to Los Angeles after she started working for Playboy magazine.
Last year Pam said on Instagram: ‘I am most at home — with my animals, on the ocean with a light softness thrown about… reading, writing and dreaming… ✨’
She spoke to WWD.com to promote her new beauty product. Anderson’s new cleanser for her Sonsie Skin line is inspired by her rose garden.
The former wife of Tommy Lee and Kid Rock co-founded the vegan beauty brand at the start of the year.
And her latest product to launch is the Cleansing Mousse – a foaming face wash designed for sensitive skin.
It has been formulated with rose hips essence inspired by flowers growing in Pamela’s garden at her home in Canada.
She told WWD.com: ‘I start each day when I’m home in my rose garden, so I felt, ‘How do I bring that with me?’ I do make a rose hip oil, and I wanted to bring that into the skin care line…
‘When I started working with the Sonsie group, I really wanted to start applying my life lessons.
‘And I wanted to apply things that I’ve learned along the way – accepting where you are on your beauty journey.
‘And I just felt like the rose garden, for me, was a very grounding message, because I kind of rediscovered myself in the rose garden.’
Pamela has ditched make-up in recent years and now takes good care of her skin, but she’s adamant her daily routine isn’t particularly fussy.
She told Bustle: ‘I feel comfortable enough wearing just the skin care out and about. Since I’ve been doing that, I take more time for myself.
‘If it’s at night, I’ll have a bath, read a book, and put my three little products on. It’s not a big, complicated skin care routine.
‘It’s just easy-breezy.
‘I like the intention with skin care. I like that the scents are transportive and up-lifting. Happiness is a choice.
‘I love to bring all that into the product line, because when you’re doing this, you should be looking at yourself in the mirror and knowing that you’re beautiful just the way you are.’
